Although Sheriff Keith Nygren spent about a half an hour last Tuesday unsuccessfully trying to convince the McHenry County Board that the taxpayers were not losing money on his beloved contract to house illegal aliens, he is still planning to buy a $66,292 bus to transport them.

The contract comes up for renewal next year and it is not a slam dunk that it will be continued.
Perhaps there is a market for used prisoner transport buses.
I think that since Nygren is going to retire something should have been put in place where he could not continue recklessly spending the tax payers money.
Can’t someone stop this.
What other damage can he do before November?
Are the buses going to go along with that great tank he bought for the swat team.

How much will it cost to maintain?

The dim bulbs at the MCSD have been entirely unable to demonstrate whether the program is losing money or earning money.
They are also entirely unable to produce any documentation of any kind of budget.

Based on meeting minutes she is the epitome of the “yes” chair.
Nygren is ensuring that every penny approved in his budget is spent before he leaves.
No reason to leave any money for a successor who was not his choice.
