From January through March, his opponent Andy Zinke raised $38,625 and spent $75,994.

  1. You can see by these numbers that Mr. Prim is very frugal in his decisions to money matters.

The only unnecessary money that looks to me he spent were the legal fees that Prim had no other choice to pay due to Zinke recount.

Seeing this proves he will be careful with the tax payers money and will spend only what is necessary for a successful Sheriff’s Department.

    Go Prim

  2. Another observation:

On June 5 Jim Harrison posted on his Facebook page the following:

“Also, if money is tight or you need some extra cash, will pay you $2 for every valid signature that you get from registered McHenry County voters”

” Thousands of people will be there,” You do the math !!

Then Harrison ends these quotes with dollar signs $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

So with over 9,000 signatures did Harrison pay out over $18,000.00 just for that not including all his other expenses?

    Wow

Now do you want a Sheriff who spends like that?

If that is an indication on how he spends money and the choices he makes, what is he going to do with the tax payers money?

Now, in all fairness, I would like him to disclose how much he spent on signatures during the event he spoke of.

  3. Voter On brings up a valid concern, but in fact Jim spent far less as fraction of signatures were turned in by paid circulators.

    Really just enough be insurance.

It is important to note Jim needed a mimimum of 6700 signers. Prim and Zinke needed only 500 each.

Illinois law is written to keep independent candidates off the ballot. Of course that means we’re left with dependent candidates only.

Unless someone, like Jim, steps up and beats the political bosses and their dependent(puppet) candidates at their own game.

  4. You keep forgetting that Harrison had a choice. He could have run as a

Republican like he was going to in the beginning but HE changed his mind.

He supports the Democrats and goes to their events but doesn’t go to any Republican events or supports them.

He knew he couldn’t win as a Democrat so Harrison is the one who turned to being an Independent. He really isn’t in a position to complain of the extra votes needed. Harrison made the choice.

So your comment about nothing is nothing.

Ask yourself the question why didn’t he run as a Republican like he was going to?

  5. Because Jim had concerns that the toxic conditions in the Republican Party were not in keeping with the best interests of the citizens.

Radio host Joe Walsh has been saying it may be necessary to split off from the GOP for months now.

So this is not a new idea.

  6. If you believe that…………l.o.l.

So if you say that, then Harrison REALLY isn’t independent.

By what you say he doesn’t like the Republicans so that is saying he is a Democrat.

Harrison said he was for all people,Republicans, democrats and independents.

Now you are bringing out the news that he is not. You say that he thought the Republicans were toxic.

How then is he going to work with the high majority of the toxic people?

We knew that all the time he wasn’t an Independent contender

  7. Joe – Harrison did not have the headache of working the primary and spending time and money on that.

Yes, he needed a lot more signatures but did not have to go out in snow storms and terrible weather to do it.

He had the benefit of beautiful days.

Harrison did not have to put signs up in freezing weather and snow storms.

Harrison did not have to go out in freezing nights to repair storm riddled signs and try to put posts in frozen ground.

So, I think these issues should have some considerations.

Harrison wanted Zinke to knock Prim out because he thought it would be easier to beat Zinke.

That is one reason he held out among many.

  8. That $ 12,921.94 from Proforma Synergy Graphics should be refunded for all the mailings that were late or never mailed…….

Hope Prim gets a different company….what a crap company !

    I’ll even help send mailings…….

Unless that company was half way around the world in China, they have no excuse !
