Just north of McHenry County College, power lines are being moved so they will not be in the to-be-widened Route 14’s right-of-way.
Work to prepare utilities for the widening of Route 14 between Crystal Lake and Woodstock started in Woodstock and is working its way to Crystal Lake.
On May 23rd, electrical re-location workers had completed their work at the curve where Woodstock’s minor league baseball stadium was supposed to be.
Now a big pipeline has made its way from Woodstock to Crystal Lake.
Population decreasing but the road needs increasing?
The population has increased more in the last 20 years than the slight decrease we have been seeing.
This project is long overdue.
