Democrat Jack Franks’s campaign material may ignore the fact that he is a Democrat and has cast his first vote each year for Machine Democrat Mike Madigan, but other legislators in McHenry County–all Republican–have noticed. In the following press release they endorse Steve Reick.

HARVARD, IL… Steve Reick, Republican candidate for State Representative in the 63rd by State Senator Pamela Althoff and State Representatives Barbara Wheeler and Mike Tryon.

“I’m grateful for the support of these three elected leaders and if elected, pledge to add my voice to the strong, clear representation that they’ve provided to the people of McHenry County,” said Reick.

“The issues confronting the 63rd District are unique and I will ensure they are put before the interests of the Springfield and Chicago political class.

“McHenry County is Republican territory and 2014 is the year in which it returns to having full Republican representation in Springfield.”

GOP Legislators Endorse Steve Reick — 4 Comments

  1. Wheeler must have changed her opinion that Jack is more
Republican than other Republicans in Springfield!

  2. Franks is the only reason they can get a bill passed and the dirty little secret is that none of them want Reick to win.

They’re just covering their butts against a right-wing primary in 2016.

And they’ll get their wish: Steve Reick is going to get squashed like a bug.
