I saw placard wavers on Route 14 near Main Street yesterday.
They advertising a going-out-of business sale for K-Mart.
That’s the second store in that location that couldn’t make it.
The first was Robert Hall.
As we drove past Sears (which was bought by K-Mart), my son wondered when it would go out of business in Crystal Lake.
Certainly, there are rarely many cars in its parking lot.
This is very sad. The K-mart was a big part of our lives here in Crystal Lake since the 70’s.
We support K-Mart and Sears but see the parking lot at Sears and it’s so sad to think they are not doing a bang up business. Their prices are right! Always Sales and often times the merchandise is even less than the “sale” by the time you get to the register. There go more Jobs out of McHenry County!
