Dem Wants Higher Taxes in Will County, Republicans Don’t

Will Co budget article Trib 9-23-14As McHenry County Board members seem unified in not raising taxes on current county residents, the Chicago Tribune is reporting that Democratic Party Will County Board Chairman Larry Walsh “urged board members to adopt the plan under which the county would collect $2.9 million more in property taxes — with roughly $1.3 million coming from new property and the rest in the form of a tax increase.”

After a caucus of the GOP County Board members, Republican Whip Chuck Maher  said,

“This caucus is not going to support any tax increase.”
