At its last meeting the McHenry County Board’s Public Health Committee looked favorably on more transparency concerning sanitation reports of area restaurants.
The Committee split four to two with Chairwoman Donna Kurtz, John Hammerand and Paula Yensen coming down on the side of making it easier for the public to see how clear restaurants are and Mary McCann and Anna May Miller on the other side.
Below is page four of five pages showing the results of the last two Department of Public Health inspections of Crystal Lake restaurants.
Why would Miller and McCann be against this?
I would think that even the individual restaurants with high scores would love to see their scores published.
The ones with lower scores can just fix what is needed.
