McHenry Shores Free of Still-Loose Burglar

A message from the McHenry Police Department:

Info regarding the incident on 10/1/14 in the McHenry Shores Area -The McHenry PD wishes to advise the public there is NO immediate danger

The McHenry Police Department wishes to notify the public of an incident that occurred within the McHenry Shores Subdivision on October 1st, 2014.

Still Hill Road, McH ShoresOn Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 the McHenry Police Department assisted the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office in executing an arrest warrant for WALLACE A. HENSHALL (M/W, DOB 5/13/1964) at 3204 W. Still Hill Drive in the McHenry Shores subdivision.

The suspect fled the area before being apprehended.

During the evening hours of October 1st, 2014, the McHenry Police Department assisted the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office in the recovery of stolen property from Henshall’s residence on Still Hill Drive. During this time, police received information from neighbors that Henshall was seen on foot in the McHenry Shores subdivision.

Acting on this information, the McHenry Police Department assisted the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office in a search of the neighborhood for Henshall. This search included the use of police canines and officers from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and the McHenry Police Department.

While the search was conducted and the canines were deployed for tracking purposes, a reverse 911 notification was made to area residence to stay in their homes. Shortly after 10pm, a reverse 911 call was made to subdivision residents that the police search had concluded and they could resume their outside activities.

Henshall was not located during the search of the subdivision.

The McHenry Police Department wishes to advise area residents that there is NO immediate danger to the public.
