McHenry County Jail
The Chicago Tribune is reporting that a Liberia woman taken by Federal officials to the Kenosha County Jail has been returned to Federal custody.
She was monitored for ebola by Kenosha County officials.
“…jail guards were understandably nervous, [Sheriff David] Beth said, and took precautions to isolate the woman in a separate cell,” the article reports.
Further, “The virus is transmitted only by direct contact with bodily fluids, the article says, “but the woman was placed in a negative air flow cell as a precaution, though the sheriff said that was probably not necessary.”
The Feds assured Kenosha County officials that the woman had been screened and was healthy.
Had higher rates not been negotiated by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) floor of the McHenry County Jail, the Tribune story might have had a Woodstock dateline.
Kenosha County charges $70 per day.
McHenry County charges $95 per day.
I guess I have to ask to obvious….
What difference does it make if you can “Charge” more, if you don’t get the business?
