The McHenry County Board is accepting applications from persons interested in appointment as an Alternate Member to the McHENRY COUNTY ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS (ZBA). One vacancy is available for a five-year term expiring on December 15, 2019.
Applicants must reside in one of the following Townships: Burton, Coral, Dunham, Grafton, Greenwood, Hartland, Hebron, Marengo, Riley and Seneca.
Application forms, along with the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) Supplemental Applications, are available at the County Board Office, Room 209, McHenry County Government Center, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock, IL 60098 (815-334-4221) or at the County’s website www.co.mchenry.il.us and http://www.co.mchenry.il.us/home/showdocument?id=12290.
Completed applications should be returned to the County Board office no later than 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. If mailing your application, certified or registered mail is recommended. As a result of a question from a commenter, I asked if the post involved pay and, if so, how much.
The answer is below:
Regular members are paid $75/per diem and the Chairman is paid $85/per diem. They are paid mileage based on the round trip miles from home to the County Building and at the regular rate $0.56/per mile.
