Does Delayed Rabies Test Bode Poorly for State Testing of Ebola?

The State of Illinois is scheduled do testing for ebola in about two weeks.

That’s what McHenry County Blog reported exclusively yesterday.

Now comes an article into my inbox from The Daily Herald in Kankakee about slow testing for an 86-year old Iroquois County woman bitten by a bat.

The bite was on August 5th.

After taking two rabies shot, the news arrived from the State lab after the woman had taken two rabies shots.

Part of the problem was the Labor Day Weekend, but “”The state lab delayed it as well,”  Iroquois County Animal Control Director and veterinarian Hany Youssef told the paper.
