Obamacare Navigators Win 21-3 — 19 Comments

  1. Since the other eighteen have now demonstrated that they don’t understand personal integrity, they are all losers.

  2. The PC world will get us all.

    What a shame.

At least three members are better than none but not enough.

  3. Every voter in McHenry County who voted for the 21 YES voters should be very embarrassed!

We have three honest citizen representatives on the board – they were the only members who are truly Republican.

Even the Chairman of the County GOP voted YES to waste over half a million dollars!!!

Hopefully party committeemen are working diligently to dump her in 2016!

The worst part is we lose one of the primary tax payer supporters on Nov. 30 and she will be replaced by yet another board member who could really care less about the tax payer.

One of the YES voter was registered by the Board Chair who is in a substance abuse rehab center!

  4. The 21 county board members that voted yes on this issue should give up their super platinum taxpayer funded health insurance and rely on the “navigators” to get them the coverage they deserve.

As taxpayers, we should demand this.

  5. Did not see any of you come out to support the position you spout hear.

Only 1 person spoke up in support of not taking grant and it was based upon using licensed insurance agent.

The room was packed everyone there was in support of taking the grant.

Rather you post on this blog where your little comments don’t matter.

  6. The people howl about less taxes and smaller government.

But flock to government for help, in ‘navigating’ the policies, of the fella they helped elect.

Don’t tell me McHenry isn’t a Democrat County, when nearly half voted for Obama and the rest scurry to a Board Meeting, asking to have their hand held, like children to cross a street.

  7. Thank you Diane, Ersel and John know I know at least 3 strong people on the county board………….

thank you for doing the right thing..

Now we the voters just need to find 21 other liked minded members to give you a little support……….

  8. All the Obamabots must go ……. the flippers deserve special treatment …….. RINO Goat-e-moller ………we won’t forget!

  9. All the Obamabots must go ……. the flippers deserve special treatment …….. RINO Goat-e-moller ………we won’t forget!

    Evertsen for President!

  10. I think it was the correct vote because I support the ACA.

The 7 flippers either were misinformed on the first vote thinking it was wasteful spending, and flipped because they now think it is effective spending.

OR they voted NO then and YES now purely because they thought it was good politics for them to vote NO then and good politics to vote YES now.

I would prefer their motive be the former and not the latter.

  11. Cal, who’s your friend on the Board who provided this photo?

  12. That would be Donna Kurtz who sent picture that is her vantage point from looking at the seating

  13. What a shame. That’s an awful lot of money being wasted. There are already federally funded and paid “navigators” in place.

All you have to do is pick up the phone.

Whether you support ACA or not, it should be easy enough to understand that if somebody cannot use a telephone, they have issues that ACA does not and never will address.

  14. Oh – I forgot to post the number for reference, in case somebody thinks that a simple phone call is not possible:
