JOSHUA JOHNSON SENTENCED TO 16 YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF HOME INVASION

Louis A. Bianchi, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Joshua Johnson, 25, of Rockford, was sentenced to 16 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the offense of Home Invasion.

The defendant knowingly and without authority entered the dwelling place of another, knowing one or more people to be present within the dwelling while armed with a dangerous weapon, and threatened the imminent use of force against the resident of the dwelling [in Garden Prairie, which is on Route 20 near the Boone County line].

This case was investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

This case was prosecuted by Robert Zalud of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.

    Will Bianchi also being filing criminal charges against the deputies?
