Former McHenry County Sheriff’s Department Captain Tony Cundiff left me a message about a week ago.
We finally got in touch today.
When he called he had just learned that his wife’s Facebook page had been hacked.
A post had been made that he and his wife supported Jim Harrison for McHenry County Sheriff.
He was alerted to the hacking of the Facebook account by a call from a few friends.
Cundiff later learned that several friends Facebook accounts were also hacked.
“I want to make sure it’s clear out there to everybody that I support Bill Prim.”
Cundiff told of his impromptu talk at Prim’s Pig Roast in Lawrence.
The “90% support” that he reported among Sheriff’s employees did not come from his personal knowledge.
It came “from employees who call me.
“That should send a strong message to the people that the employees believe in this guy and he’s the most qualified man for the position,” Cundiff said.
