Had the storm come farther south, snow could have made the McHenry County Vietnam Veterans Memorial look like this.
When I was a kid, it was called Armistice Day…in memory of the end of World War I.
In 1954, this day of remembrance was broadened to include all Veterans, hence, Veterans Day.
To all serving and ALL who have served: THANK YOU!!
