The first Santa Run.

The Crystal Lake Kiwanis are set for its Santa Run on Sunday.

While online registration is over, people can still sign up Saturday from 10-3 at the Running Depot, 30 N. Williams Street, or Sunday morning at the Raue Center from 7:30-8:30.

The Santa Run is an annual 5k Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk to benefit the following agencies of McHenry County:

• Kiwanis Club of Crystal Lake
• Turning Point
• CASA
• Girls on the Run of NW IL
• Big Brothers Big Sisters
• Main Stay Therapeutic Riding

Last year’s event had over 975 runners/walkers and raised over $24,000 for these agencies.

The cost is $38 for the 5K Run and $15 for the 1 Mile Walk.

5K participants will be chip timed.

Santa suits and beards will be be provided for the 5K runners, antlers for the 1K walkers.
