County Board Members Compensation Last Year — 9 Comments

  1. This is a part-time elected position.

I really wish more of them would accept their $20K salary as plenty, and turn down the bennies.

  2. A Texas Legislator gets paid $7200 per year, plus a per diem, when in session.

But Illinois Pols do 5, 10, 20 times the job, than they do in Texas.

    Right Illinois?

  3. For goodness sake, you are supposed to be a civil servant.

Why am I paying their healthcare?

Why is it that so many people on this blog jump up and down about the teacher’s benefits package but the county board gets a walk?

Their healthcare, mileage reimbursement and pension are paid by tax payers.

Eliminate the health care, the pension and the mileage reimbursement.

  4. Interesting that the voters got rid of two of the members who did not take the benefit packages!

  5. I would wager $100 voters have NO IDEA that they pay for healthcare or a pension for these positions.

  6. @Cindy…

Your comment speaks volumes and explains quite a bit.

    Thank you
