Bianchi New Head of Illinois State’s Attorneys Assocation

McHenry County State’s Attorney Louis A. Bianchi was recently elected President of the Illinois State’s Attorneys Association at its 77th annual conference in Chicago by his fellow State’s Attorneys. The Illinois State’s Attorneys Association is a bi-partisan organization composed of all elected State’s Attorneys throughout the State of Illinois whose purpose is to promote the orderly administration of justice and enforcement of the law.

State’s Attorney Bianchi will also direct the Association’s Legislative Committee which reviews and initiates legislation designed to more effectively prosecute criminals and prevent crime.

Bianchi stated,

“I appreciate the honor to be elected by my colleagues to this important position in the Association.

“I intend to work closely with my fellow State’s Attorneys to ensure the highest quality of prosecutorial services to the citizens of Illinois.”

Bianchi is a 1968 graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School. He has served as the State’s Attorney for McHenry County for the past decade.

Bianchi spent the initial years of his legal career as a prosecutor, first in Cook County, and then in McHenry County.

In 1974, he co-founded the firm of Boback, Bianchi & Simko, Ltd., where he handled primarily personal injury cases and commercial litigation.

Bianchi is the first McHenry County State’s Attorney to be elected President of the Illinois State’s Attorneys Association.
