1635 Carlemont Dr – Unit # C, Crystal Lake, IL

On January 14, 2015 at 03:16 PM, the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department responded to a possible structure fire reported by the resident at 1635 Carlemont Dr, the clothes dryer was on fire in Unit C.

First arriving Crystal Lake units reported smoke coming from the second floor in the rear of the building of a multifamily apartment building.

First arriving Firefighters on scene initiated the fire attack as they confirmed there was no one in the apartment C.

The fire was contained in Unit C; the fire was under control at 3:46 PM.

There were no injuries to any firefighters, as a precaution due to the smoke in the apartment one tenant in Unit C was evaluated by Paramedic’s at the scene and released.

Fire is under investigation by the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department and is undetermined, initial damage estimates are $11,000.00 for the structure.

Crystal Lake was assisted by fire departments from Algonquin, McHenry, East Dundee, Cary, Fox River Grove, Huntley, Wauconda, Nunda Rural, Lakewood, and Barrington.

The Crystal Lake Police Department assisted with traffic control at the scene.
