Jack Franks

For the ninth time State Rep. Jack Franks will be voting for Mike Madigan for Illinois House Speaker.

That’s despite the campaign promise made in 1998 that Franks would serve only three terms.

One must never forget that voting for Madigan for Speaker is all that Madigan usually wants from Franks.

This time around, however, Franks may be put on the hot seat to provide key votes on veto overrides.

Time will tell.
