  1. Stepped up enforcement netted 1 DUI arrest in 17 days.

    I’m sure that made our roads MUCH safer over the holiday season (sarcasm).

    Money well spent I’m sure.

  2. It’s getting worse, not better.

    Please, some good guy in law enforcement step up and stop this nonsense.

    PDs are no different than lawmakers now.

    They’re in it for themselves under the ruse that they’re there to help others….as their communities no longer trust them.

    How sad.

  3. 69 total stops

    * 24/34. – 78% unlawful electronics (I’m guessing this is texting and drive or distracted driving)
    * 8/11. – 59% speeding
    * 7/10. – 14% uninsured
    * 5/7. – 25% seat belt
    * 4/5. – 8% moving violation/equipment
    * 2/2. – 9% invalid/no license
    * 1/1. – 45% DUI

    Arguably the new “drunk-driving” is distracted/texting driving.

    It’s likely even worse that drinking and driving because there can be long periods of time when the driver’s eyes are off the road.

  4. The CLPD goes overboard on everything they do.

    They need to clean house.

    Let’s just say, their professional demeanor does nothing to unite our community, the City, or the police department.

    Get a clue people!

    Danny Boy, you are “NOT” part of the solution.

    Now, get your act together brotha!

  5. Bill, if that is the case then someone should be looking at that City Manager.

    Also remember that no matter what the City Manager says by Il. State law the officer has discretion
    whether to arrest or ticket, etc.

    The City Manager can not tell you an unlawful order.

    Go after the source that is causing the harassment.

  6. Really?

    Hmmmm “The City Manager cannot tell you an unlawful order”

    Yep, they need to clean house over there…

    Pack your bags boys!
