Local Dems Spent $10,100

Yesterday, McHenry County Blog reported that the McHenry County Republican Central Committee McH Co Dem Sticker on SidewalkDuring the same time period (October 1st through the end of the year), McHenry County Democrats expended less than one-third as much–$10,098.89.

$352 of the money spent was in amounts less than $150, so did not have to be made public.

The rest was spend as you see below:

$6,866.63 – Hotcards, Cleveland, OH for printing and postage
$500 – Sheila Simon for Illinois, contribution
$345 – Village Squire, Crystal Lake for holiday party
$304.50 – Custom Ink, Charlottesville, VA for tee shirts
$231 – All Safe Self Storage, Lake In The Hills for storage
$158- William Street Public House, Crystal Lake for fund raising – advertisement

The Democrats started the month before the election with $16,849.54.

During the next three months an additional $1,262.14 was received.

All of it was in amounts under $150, which the Democrats, following state law, decided to keep secret.

The leading Democrat in McHenry County, State Rep. Jack Franks, with $509,194.35 in his campaign fund is not listed as making a donation.

The Democrats ended 2014 with $8,012.79 in the bank. Republicans had $11,717.95.

  1. I assume one would contact Mike Bissett, the Chairman of the McHenry County Democratic Party.

    The party has a web site.
