The Northern Illinois Food Bank collects and delivers four to six pallets of food each week.

Free food will be distributed from local supermarkets at the Nunda Township complex between Route 31 and the McHenry-Crystal Lake Blacktop (Walkup Road on the map below) Friday at 10 AM.

A lot of it is frozen and there is always more than enough bread products and plenty of desserts.

Usually, there is a good variety of fruits and vegetables, plus some dairy products, especially yogurt.

The distribution is managed and staffed by members of the First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake.

People are given numbers as they register.

    Come about 10.

    Order is decided by random drawing, so no reason to come early.

    Park in the upper parking lot.

  3. I have no food for my family.. my daughter is 37 and her unemployment is over and she can’t find a job and I’m on social security and I also have 3 grandchildren
