State Representative Barb Wheeler Takes to Facebook to Spur Common Core Debate

McHenry County Blog did report onĀ Congressman Randy Hultgren’s Common Core event at MCC.

Here’s what Crystal Lake Grade School District 47 thinks of the Common Core standards.

Now State Representative Barbara Wheeler has posted an article by Former Secretary of Education Bill Bennett.

Many Republicans oppose Common Core for institutionalizing standards.

One thing is certain with Common Core, if your school district does not accept Common Core federal education dollars can be withheld.

  1. Lol I’m so tired of all these jonny come latelys on this common core.

It’s law… Where was the outrage when it was introduced.

    How many states approved it?

    45?

I would just like to get politicians who disapprove of federal takeovers of state issues BEFORE they vote to allow the federal government to take over said industry.

    Clearly asking for too much…

Nobody cares about you being opposed to something after it passed. Repeal it or shut up.
