“At this point, we have no infication at all that he has done harm to himself,” Crystal Lake Police Commander Dan Dziewior said.

“The leads we have had up to this point say he is very much alive.”

Salazar left his home late in the evening on March 1 after leaving messages with friends via social media that he was despondent, police reported.

A gun is also missing from the home.

In response to the missing teen, school districts in the area went on lockdown on March 2.

Dziewior said the Crystal Lake Police Department has been conducting investigations since Salazar went missing.

“As these cases go, the initial shock and urgency wear off, especially when these folks don’t want to be found,” Dziewior said.

“We bring in dozens, I mean dozens of people from the community to interview.”

Despite the lockdown on the first day, Dziewior said Crystal Lake Police do not believe Salazar is a threat.

“We heard nothing that makes us believe he is a threat to the community,” Dziewior said. “If people truly wish to assist him they should report his whereabouts to authorities so he can get the help he needs.”

Any information on Andre Salazar should be directed to Crystal Lake Police at 815-356-3741.

Adrian Salazar Still Missing — 14 Comments

  1. I hope this young man comes home soon to the people who love an miss him.

No matter how bad things seem, it will pass in time.

He could be our next Bill Gates, find the cure for cancer, or become president.

Let’s all pray he comes home.

  2. I don’t know Who this “Commander Dziewior” is but they seem rather nonchalant about this.

He says “Urgency wears off” what kind of a dumb statement is that?

Then he says the Crystal Lake Police department doesn’t think the kid is a threat, another brilliant statement.

If a gun is missing from his home the same day he leaves over a break-up with a girlfriend, This kid took the gun for some reason and I hope he does not harm himself or others.

  3. No one wants a bad outcome…..

Commander Dziewior, is the same person that said 2 of his officers were on foot patrol while they were, in fact, stalking one of residents at Sam’s Club.

    He is not all bad.

Though, he clearly has his faults.

One being, not allowing his officers to accept responsibility for their actions.

I could go on and on with the bad video and the bad pictures related to the actions of the CLPD and people from the City of Crystal Lake; very bad images.

  4. Nice the comment about how this boy can turn into wonder man… but for now, he is a THREAT!

Lock down the schools til this kids is found.

Then, he can become a finder of cancer cures and become the next Obama.

  5. Duncan, it would be nice if for once, just once you provide all this horrible conspiracy info you profess to have.

Not one time have you done anything to prove your suggestions of illegal activity.

You spout off about MCSO, CLPD ,Judges and anyone else you dislike but never follow up with concrete facts.

And before you go off about eating popcorn,,which is really getting old, give us all a break. If you have all this “Very, incriminating evidence!” .

    Let’s see it.

And by the way, Dziewior is one of the most dedicated cops I ever ran into.

In other words and maybe something you can understand, put up or shut up!

  6. Dziewior may be a dedicated cop (as you think) BUT his choice of wording on a Press Release is very undesirable and maybe the department should have another spokesperson because he is not coming across as a concerned person.

  7. Two of his officers followed one of our citizens into Sam’s Club and Dan Dziewior called it foot patrol.

    It was stalking.

Further, it is required that officers notify dispatch before leaving their vehicle, because that is protocol.

    Ask any police officer.

    They did not notify dispatch.

They were there to harass and intimidate that person.

Further, I hardly think working foot patrol at Sam’s Club means standing in the first aisle and then leaving the premises once the victim leaves.

The proof “Bill” is in the video.

News flash, arresting your friends relatives is a form of corruption.

You go ahead and help Dan Dziewior rationalize and justify the corrupt behavior for individuals that wear a badge, it still does not excuse their actions.

There is more information to be released at a CLPD theatre newer you, when the time is appropriate.

So, don’t bother telling me that I don’t know what I am talking about, Bill, because the fact of the matter is, you don’t have a clue about anything.

  8. Mr. Skinner, is there any word with respect to the missing young man, Adrian Salazar?

    Thank you.

Praying for his safe return, as well as the safety of all involved.
