McHenry County College Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs Tony Miksa has decided not to accept the offer of of the presidency of Central Oregon Community College.

That’s what The Bulletin is reporting.

The reason?

“The board learned over the weekend that Miksa had withdrawn after his father-in-law died unexpectedly.”

Miska said,

“I want to personally thank all of those who were a part of my search process for the president of Central Oregon Community College (COCC).

“I greatly appreciate everyone’s assistance and support.

“While the search was a wonderful learning experience for me and all of COCC’s people were great, I have decided to step away from the process for personal/family reasons.

“I look forward to continuing my role with McHenry County College, and I remain committed to MCC and to the success of our students.”
