Crystal Lake Police Conducting a Death Investigation
On Monday, March 09, 2015 at approximately 4:18 PM, Crystal Lake Police were dispatched to Canterbury Park in the 800 block of Canterbury Drive, regarding a subject reported to be on ground, with a firearm observed nearby.
The area around Canterburry Drive i Crystal Lake.
Responding officers located the subject, who was deceased.
The area was cordoned off as police continue to investigate this matter, along with Deputies of the McHenry County Coroner’s Office.
The identity of the decedent has yet to be determined, and will be released by the Coroner’s Office subsequent to notification of any family.
At this time there are no indications of concern for public safety, and no students at the elementary school adjoining the park were injured in this incident.
No additional information will be made available this date.

There is no indication that this is Adrian Salazar, the 18-year old Crystal Lake Central High School student who disappeared with a firearm found missing from his home a week ago.
Why put out a press release with absolutely no information?

They have to show they are not hiding the matter.
This is an ongoing criminal investigation at this time, so the information they will release is very limited.
