Wonder Lake Millennials Arrested on Drug Charges

Drug Arrest

On Monday, March 9, 2015, at 8:48 p.m. the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Wonder Lake residents for multiple drug charges.

Members of the Intelligence Led Policing Unit made a traffic stop on a 2002 Cadillac near the intersection of IL Route 47 and IL Route 120.

After contact was made with the occupants, deputies made a probable cause search of the vehicle.

As a result of the search, Deputies recovered a digital scale, 16 “Xanax” 2mg pills, 14 Temazepam 30 mg pills, and 20 capsules containing unknown substance.

The estimated street value of the narcotics seized is $500.

The facts of the case were reviewed by the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, who approved the charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver class 2 Felony and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance class 3 Felony.

The 2002 Cadillac was also seized by the Sheriff’s Office under Drug Asset Forfeiture laws.

  • Marquis J. Wimberly (Male 18), Wonder Lake

CHARGES: (for both):

  • Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Class 2 Felony)
  • Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 3 Felony)

BOND (for both): $25,000.00
