Vote Count Shows Cary Write-Ins Win Big

Kimberly A. Covelli  and James L. "Jim" Cosler are running write-in campaigns for the Cary Village Board.

The McHenry County Clerk’s Office is reporting that the two people who ran write-in campaigns for the Cary Village Board won big time.

Vote totals show the write-ins for the Cary Village Board ran first and second.

The vote totals are

  • James Cosler – 1,081
  • Kimberly Covelli – 1,077
  • Ellen McAlpine – 732
  • Erin Hauck – 652
  • Steven J. Degnan-Schmidt – 500

The top three will take office.

4,179 votes were cast.

Four years ago the most any Trustee candidate (Bruce Kaplan) received was 1176, when 5,903 votes were cast.

    Clowns Have been running Cary into the groin for many years.

    Classic McHenry county waste!

    They have metra and the fox river.

    What are they waiting for?

    Make a name for Cary.

    Make it ni e to live there.

    Make jobs and keep down taxes.

    If the newbies can do that then they’ll be reelected

    I am optimistic for our Village as the people now have a say in our future.
