The results have not yet been posted, but word from the County Clerk’s Office is that McHenry Ward 2 Alderman Andy Glab has been re-elected by one vote.

Results posted on election night showed a 136-136 tie with challenger James Walsh.

Glab is Mayor Sue Low’s biggest critic.

During the mayoral campaign two years ago, Glab knocked on many doors for challenger, former Mayor Steve Cuda.

Glab’s door knocking ability was undermined this campaign by an injury.

Glab will be joined by newcomer Scott Curry, who defeated Low ally Geoffrey Blake.

  1. Good job.

If every race had competition and was more interesting people would vote more.

Instead in McHenry we have coronations for most of the posts.

    Too much gerrymandering.
