Three Sought for Valley Hi Board with $38 Million in the Bank

The McHenry County Board is again seeking three people to appoint to the Valley Hi Operating (oversight) Board.

This is the second solicitation.

The first had an application deadline of May 15th.

Here’s the revised announcement:

The McHenry County Board is accepting applications from individuals interested in appointment to the VALLEY HI NURSING HOME OPERATING BOARD.

Three positions are available for terms expiring on June 30, 2017.

Expertise in the healthcare field is desired, but is not an exclusive criterion for membership on this Board.

Application forms are available at the County Board Office, Room 209, McHenry County Government Center, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock, IL 60098 (815-334-4221) or at the County’s website at http://www.co.mchenry.il.us/home/showdocument?id=12290.

Completed applications should be returned to the County Board office no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2015. If mailing your application, certified or registered mail is recommended. Mailed applications should be sent to the following address:

Valley Hi Cash on hand 2006-13

The balance is now $38.4 million.

Yesterday, there was $38,462,103.43 in Valley Hi cash reserves.

Only $12 million was in Certificates of Deposit…at the request of the Operating Board.

Perhaps the application solicitation should specifically ask for those who might be able to figure out how much could be in long-term investments for an enterprise fund that has been spending about $10-11 million a year.
