Just remembered that I have not made my pitch for people in need of food and not having the resources to buy it can come to the Nunda Township Hall.
The truck from the Northern Illinois Food Bank usually comes close to 10 on Fridays and it takes about a half an hour for the folks at the First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake to get it sorted out.
Since the place is out of the way, here’s a map:
Last week there were plenty of hot dog and hamburger buns, plus more bread of all sorts than people wanted.
There is also usually a large assortment of fruits and vegetables.
Last week, there was plenty of dry goods as well.
There is frozen meat, usually enough for two packages, which are usually frozen.
And I didn’t mention desserts.
