Much was made of a lot at the corner of Lake Avenue and Richmond Lane during the campaign for Lakewood Village Trustee.

The question was whether part of the corner lot could be split off and a new home built on it.

A member from Lakewood Village Administrator Catherine Peterson reveals the following about the zoning:

We have been in regular contact with an individual who indicates that he wants to purchase the property at 1675 Lake Ave and maintain it as a single lot/home.

The current property owner at 393 Richmond Lane seems to have resolved himself to the fact that the lot is unbuildable.

He is exploring a sale of the property to an adjacent owner (so it can be combined with an existing lot) or a donation to the Village of Lakewood for stormwater purposes.
