From the Huntley Police Department:

Residents are receiving fraudulent requests for donations on behalf of the Huntley Fire Protection District.

Scam alert.

During the week of July 6th, several residents of the Sun City neighborhood have received phone solicitations from an individual claiming to be a member of the Huntley Firefighters Union.

This person is soliciting monies from these residents and has been successful in at least one case.

The Huntley Fire Protection District and their union do not solicit money through third party companies.

The Chief of the Huntley Fire Protection District has verified there is no current fundraising drive for the organization.
