Former McHenry County Board member Paula Yensen is another person with a Lake in the Hills-based Political Action Committee.

After being beaten for the County Board in the fall of 2014 by Republican John Jung and Michael Rein, she ran for a seat on the Lake in the Hills Village Board, the place she started her political career.

She won, as you can see below:

While the first three months do not cover all the expenses of the campaign, because the election was April 7th, much of the campaign expenses are shown in the first quarterly report which is being examined.

She received these contributions:

  • $200 from Heidi Jackson of Crystal Lake
  • $995 from unidentified individuals and companies (no ID required because under $150)
  • $150 unidentified from another Political Action Committee

Her husband, McHenry County Democratic Party Chair Michael Bissett loaned her campaign $4,490.23. Bissett is a Product Specialist with Quad/Graphics in Lake in the Hills, the campaign disclosure says.

Another $131.78 came from a source which does not have to be disclosed because it is less than $150.

$4,882.07 was spent on the campaign.

Expenditures included the usual–printing, postage, signs, food for fundraisers.

Yensen ended March with $2,062.35.
