With all of the second quarterly campaign finance reports having been filed, I thought readers might be interested in a summary of which legislators and aspirants have how reported how much money available.
First the incumbents:
- State Rep. Steve Andersson – $25,029.08 (Raised $15,000, spent $1,700)
- State Rep. Jack Franks – $508,973.49 (Raised $12,000, spent $22,000)
- State Rep. David McSweeney – $68,969.12 (Raised $68,000, spent $22,000)
- State Rep. Mike Tryon – $43,210.69 (Raised $24,000, spent $12,000)
- State Rep. Barb Wheeler – $12,321.75 (Raised $8,000, spent $14,000)
- State Senator Pam Althoff – $98,721.00 (Raised $36,000, spent $20,000)
- State Senator Dan Duffy – $10,617.11 (Raised $19,000, spent $15,000)
- State Senator Karen McConnaughay – $68,669.41 (Raised $20,000 + another $1,000 in mid-July, spent $11,000)
Now, the non-incumbents who are jousting for State Rep. Mike Tryon’s seat:
- Allen Skillicorn – $15,352.53 (Raised $9,000 + $2,300 on July 1st, spent $1,000)
- Paul Serwatka – $100,000 of his own money deposited on July 1st.
- Dan Wilbrandt – $34,633.27 (Spent the difference between $35,000 and what’s left)
- Carolyn Schofield – Campaign fund cannot be found. Registration is required when $5,000 is raised.
Cal what kind of $$$$ are typically spent on a election for Rep and Sen around here?
Jack’s amount seems huge compared to the other Reps and way more than any of the Sen’s, and their election should typically cost more.
Maybe a total dis-closer for each for an entire year would tell a better story of where they get the $$$$ instead of quarterly only.
Any Idea what Jack spent verses Steve in the last election?
Sarcasm:
Schofield was first elected as a Village of Crystal Lake trustee in 2006 and subsequently to the McHenry County Board yet no campaign fund can be found in the Illinois State Board of Elections database under her name?
Crowded race so far.
Oh boy, Serwatka looks like he wants to buy the seat.
I saw him listed as one of 4 republicans running (so far) however he is listed online previously as Independent.
Which is it?
