The biggest surprise of the Republican Party’s fundraiser Thursday night occurred when McHenry County College Board member Karen Tirio asked me to sign her husband’s petition.
“What for?” I asked.
“Recorder of Deeds,” she replied.
Two women have already announced their intentions to seek the office:
- Tina Hill
- Joni Smith
This could be something of the opposition of the GOP primar race to replace State Rep. Mike Tryon, where there are three men and one woman:
- Carolyn Schofield
- Paul Serwatka
- Allen Skillicorn
- Dan Willbrandt
Obsession over gender and race is a hallmark of progressives. You aren’t a progressive are you Cal?
Just kidding.
But seriously, it shouldn’t be an issue.
A prayer was answered.
What a joke
Guess the advertising on Cal’s blog isn’t working.
Since I first ran for County Treasurer in 1966, I have noticed that a woman gets about a five percentage point advantage on ballots.
I think that’s because so many men in the Chicago area have been indicted and convicted of political/governmental crimes.
In maybe a hundred years that gender advantage may disappear.
Good point, Cal.
Just look at the despicable Hillary Clinton!
The fairer sex are no longer the fairer sex.
How are his two opponents qualified for this job?
Stand4Truth is a gay website.
In the public schools in classes such as AP (Advance Placement) Human Geography kids are taught there is an income discrepancy gap whereas men earn more on average than women.
Haven’t heard of a study whereas women have the advantage in political races although don’t doubt the observations listed in the post.
