Recorder’s Race Wide Open

Along with the question about whether the County Board should allow votes on township consolidation, pollster Victory Geek asked a couple of more questions.

One was a horse race question about the McHenry County Recorder of Deeds contest.

When the automated telephone poll was being taken, there were two announced candidates:

  • Tina Hill
  • Joni Smith

Here are the results so far:

Since the poll was taken, Woodstock resident Joe Tirio has announced his candidacy.

It’s pretty obvious that anyone could win the primary election.

  1. Neither of these two women would be considered qualified.

That’s why over 79% were undecided in the poll when it was a race between ‘Bad’ and ‘Worse’. (Or should I say “Worse” to “Bad” as ‘Worse’ announced she was running first 😉

This race was begging for a sane, serious and qualified candidate to run.

Wonder what the other questions were on this poll?

    and their stats.

  2. Cal – Who paid for the poll?

Seems kind of expensive for a county wide race.
