WASHINGTON, DC—Today, Congressman Peter Roskam (IL-06), released the following statement after the United States Court of Appeals for the Eight Circuit ruled in favor of religious nonprofits’ freedom from the Affordable Care Act’s contraception mandate:

“The federal government should never force Americans to participate in activities that violate their fundamental religious beliefs.

“As the Supreme Court has held on at least four occasions, the Obamacare contraception mandate is wrong to do just that.

“This court ruling is a victory for the rights of freedom and liberty that were critical to our Founding Fathers and American exceptionalism to this day.”

  1. So Bush hugs and firemen and years later the Senate plays politics.

Oh how many times has this type of thing happened – no need to go Repubs vs. Dems here.

Bush has been irrelevant for years; frankly he’s been very quiet and out of the spotlight for the most part.

The guy is a whipped dog.

Regardless, what in the world does this have to do with a birth control mandate?

If you want to write an article to condemn the Republican party and conservatives in general, do it.

There is plenty of material; I’ll even help contribute.
