McHenry County Board member Chuck Wheeler has been nominated by Board Chairman Joe Gottemoller to replace Ken Koehler on the Valley Hi Operating Board.

Wheeler, who is an insurance agent, attended the August meeting of the Operating Board as a spectator.

Koehler resigned from the County Board in order to accept Gottemoller’s nomination to the Metra Board.

  1. Now we get to see how committed to taxpayers Chuck is. E

    Everyone can agree how much Valley Hi over taxes.

    Will he vote for the continuation of its levy despite the huge reserve it has?

    Will he vote to phase out this unnecessary intrusion of government into a the free market?

    I’m excited to find out.

  2. I thought there was a letter to the editor in northwest herald how often he does not show up to meetings what good are you if you only show up to county board ?

  3. Chuck Wheeler was certainly at the Finance Committee meeting where he brought up the State’s Attorney’s legal opinion that the Vice Chairman (woman) of the County Board cannot be paid more than any other board member who is not the chairman (woman).
