  1. It will be interesting to see the overlap of bootlickers at this event who also attended the Full-Employment for the Miller Family fest.

I wonder if the goons who show up at both events realize that if you’re equally disloyal to both sides, neither will treat you well.

  2. I’m always uncomfortable when a prosecutor decides to run for a judgeship or any other political office.

There is far too much temptation for him to abuse his powers as a prosecutor in order to appear tough on crime.

There is a good financial reason not to vote for this guy either.

If he gets elected, he can use his years at the State’s Attorney’s office towards his judicial pension, which is a lot more generous.

It will cost all of us a lot of money in the long run if he gets in.

  3. Billy Bob, the wolf in sheep’s clothing.

You’re tryihg to trash a true gentleman, highly qualified for judge.

Your thinking is just twisted enough to believe you’ll be doing more of this as the campaigns goes forward.

I’m looking forward to ignoring your “comments.”

  4. There is nothing wrong in supporting everyone why do you make it something bad we need good candidates to run that is what it is all about why would you not promote competition.

Just because people went to Millers and they go to Demitrios does not make them

Monsters it is supportive to all for healthy competition

  5. I’m not trashing anybody.

I simply don’t believe that prosecutors should be allowed to become judges.

I also don’t believe that people should spend their entire working lives living on the taxpayers’ dime.

  6. Is it true Demitri has never tried a case and is not a lawyer but only an administrator in Bianchi’s office?

I hear he is Bianchi’s choice to get someone on the bench.

He’s got Prim in the Sheriff’s office, now wants one of his boys in the court room.

    Sounds bad to me.

  7. On the flip side Billy Bob, do you think that defense attorneys should not become judges, lest they be soft on crime?

you’d empty the bench (no pun intended)

  8. By design, the system is supposed to favor the defense. It’s the old “I’d rather have ten guilty men go free than have one innocent man punished” thing.

I think it’s most important that judges be quality lawyers, and they are far more easily found in the private sector.

Lawyers who spend most of their careers working for government entities more often than not went to law schools that are not particularly difficult to get into or graduate from.

They take the lower pay that government agencies offer because, frankly, the job market for lawyers is saturated and the private sector doesn’t want them.

I’m not saying that this is for certain the case with Mr Tsilimigras, but the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law that he attended will never in a million years be mistaken for Harvard.

  9. I’ll keep an open mind on the guy, but I’d feel a lot better about him if he proved that he could pull his weight in the private sector for a few years.

I’m generally not real fond of people who make a career out of living off the taxpayers, and then have the nerve to call it “public service.”

  10. lol@ Martin

    Nice catch.

Probably afraid of buffet meaning a violent shock; so went with an alternate (made up) spelling.

  11. Demetri was a prosecutor in Michigan and in Kane county.

Plenty of time in court in all places.

    Very honest and ethical man.

  12. I worked with Demetri in Kane County.

He is a fine lawyer and has tried many cases.

He is also a fair, neutral, and honorable person who would make a find judge.
