Husbanding my battery power, I waited for the next band.

The announcer said that the West Aurora High School Marching Band has 269 members.

The Wheeling High School Band was awhile behind.

Besides wearing tee shirts for their candidate Demetri Tslimingas supporters carried yard signs.

Next came Chris Yaeger, the current Algonquin Township Republican Party Chairman promoting the judicial candidacy of Assistant State’s Attorney Demetri Tsilimigras.

There’s more than a little irony–or maybe it’s just the two major factions of the Republican Party lining up against each other again–that the past Township Chairwoman is from Demetri’s opponent, James Cowlin.

Pam Palmer

Union resident Pam Palmer waved to her almost hometown crowd.

McHenry County Auditor Pam Palmer also rode in a convertible.

As in the Johnsburg parade, McHenry County Recorder of Deeds candidate Joni Smith again had the most impressive political entry.

A returning soldier was honor with one entry.  As the announced noted, it was too late for it to be a surprise.

    All I can say is “The Bigger the Sign, the Lower the Substance”

    Get a load of the signs on that one woman.

    Does she think she’s running for Queen?

    If that’s how she spends her campaign funds, just imagine how she’ll spend the tax payers’ money!
