Four items were on the agenda for discussion:

First was a motion to approve Phase 2 engineering for the extension of water/sewer to the intersection of Route 47 and Route 176 in an amount not to exceed $84,100. It will ultimately be necessary to extend utilities to this intersection for ANY future development.

This was unanimously voted in the affirmative by trustees Serwatka, Furey, Thomas, Iden and Santowski.

Further details related to this can be found starting at page 53 of the Board Packet which can be viewed at the link below.

The second item was a motion to approve an agreement with the Illinois Association of Snowmobile Clubs to authorize a snowmobile trail on village property.

This motion was unanimously voted in the affirmative.

Further details can be found starting on page 60 of the board packet below.

The third item was a motion to approve an amendment to a lease agreement between the village of Lakewood and the Crystal Lake Park Dist., for the lift station, for $1.00 per year, for a term of ten years.

This was voted unanimously in the affirmative.

Further details can be found starting on page 65 of the board packet.

The last item on the agenda was a motion to approve new water meter fees.

The cost to the village for the purchase, shipping and handling of waters has increased by nominal amount and this increased cost will be added to the fee charged by the village for new water meters, so as to allow the village to break even on these costs.

This was voted unanimously in the affirmative.

Details can be found on page 74 of the board packet below.

I mentioned that several residents had inquired as to having a second meter installed for lawn sprinkling to eliminate being overcharged for sewer costs. I suggested that this be looked into and discussed at a future date.
