This is a journal of news and opinion designed to bring to light matters of public interest and to encourage public participation in the governmental process.

It occurs to me that candidates might like some help passing petitions.

I’m happy to link to web pages with candidate petitions.

Just email McHenry County Blog the link.

And, if you are seeking signatures for a referendum, send you links, too.

  1. Fabulous idea Cal!!

In order for the conservative McHenry County Republicans to organize we need a forum!

  2. On Carol Schofield’s Facebook page, she was begging for petition volunteers.

She said there wasn’t enough hours in the day to collect enough signatures.

Since she doesn’t have a job, that sounded quite pathetic.

My husband pointed that out and she deleted the entire post.

I wonder if she’s having 2nd thoughts and deciding to run for county board reelection instead.

  3. Carolyn has once again proved she has little, if any, knowledge of what’s going on, including the issues before the County Board, let alone Statewide,

Please spare the citizens of the County another term on the County Board; apparently, there aren’t enough hours in the day for you to be in public office.

  4. Tirio you only need what could be obtained in a weekend

    get a life

  5. Stand4truth,

County wide offices need more than what you could do in a weekend.

If you can crank out 380 in a weekend by yourself more power to you.

I know I couldn’t do that even with a full fledged ‘A’ Team.

Maybe instead of hiding behind anonymous pseudonyms and lobbing pot shots from the cheap seats you should you know… put your name out there.

PS Walking in the rain means more signatures.

    Happy Halloween!

  6. Stand4truth has an extreme case of ‘not enough attention at home’.

Hats off to all first timers who run for office.

Gotta love that website name and what it stands for.

Enough of the nepotism, entitlements and abuses!
