The most biting part of former Jack Franks opponent Steve Reick’s recent Illoyances’ blog post follows:
The most dangerous place in Illinois isn’t the gang-infested parts of Chicago, it’s the space between Jack Franks and a microphone.
In a nutshell, he’s become famous for being famous; he’s the Kim Kardashian of the Illinois General Assembly.
Reick’s story is about a recent robo-call from the Democratic Party Representative to people in the general area of the old Plum Tree Golf Course–a property developed by Cook County Democratic Party officials like the corrupt Assessor P.J. Cullerton.
Here’s another sentence that may be a bit over the top, but accurately describes the dilemma facing Franks:
It’s got to be tough for him these days because he can’t seem to figure out whose side he’s on in Springfield: he cozies up to the Republican governor when the opportunity arises and then he runs home to mama when the Speaker calls.
So far, the Republican Party doesn’t seem to have found anyone with guts enough to run against Franks.
Only a very very very small bit over the top.
Jack even goes to fund raisers for Rep’s that serve wine and cheese.
Playing both sides of the game is very self serving.

It is much easier to wine on a blog about it.
If Reick was that courageous, why doesn’t he run again?
Maybe because Steve doesn’t get the $$$$ from outside the district like Jack does?
Maybe Cal would post both men’s political contributions again. last few years, and from where/who would work?
I hope
Steve runs again…but he will need the backing and support of the Republican party..
he will need some downstate money…
He will need a lot of Local campaign workers .then, maybe. then Jack could be beat
Some top notch stuff coming from Reick.
Comments like that ought to get him on the staff of the National Enquirer in no time.
