Statement December 7, 2015

After deliberation and careful consideration of the personal and family issues that have been a concern to me and my family, I will be asking our County Clerk to withdraw my petitions as a candidate for State’s Attorney in the primary election.

I am grateful for the understanding and compassion from my supporters, attorneys and members of our staff and investigators in the office of the State’s Attorney and the community during the recent weeks.

I plan to continue to serve the People of McHenry County until December 1, 2016 when my present term ends and devoting 100 percent of my free time to making sure Patrick Kenneally is elected as the next McHenry County State’s Attorney.

He is an experienced, proven prosecutor who is the most capable leader to continue the strong prosecutions and programs initiated by our office these past 11 years.

  1. Lou will be missed………….

    sorry to see you go…

everyone deserves a place in the sun and You certainly earned yours…

    God Bless…………

And Thank you for a job well done..

  2. Thank you Lou, for your energy, leadership and example in assembling one of the finest, most diverse State’s Attormey’s office in the State.

We look forward to supporting Patrick Keneally as your successor.

  3. Dan Regna is also “a proven capable prosecutor” and certainly more independent.

Since when does the guy in office get to anoint his successor?

  4. It’s quite common for politicians to campaign for their chosen successor.

Just about every term limited president does it, and closer to home, Boss Hogg sure tried everything he could to get Zinke to succeed him.

  5. Hey, Fred.

Regna is a Gary Pack Culture of Corruption Stooge.

He will bring back the same clown car of politically motivated prosecutors who made McHenry County a national laughing stock by railroading onto Death Row innocent people to camouflage his office’s misconduct.

  6. Fred needs a dose of reality.

For starters Bianchi isn’t annointing anything.

He’s endorsing who he feels would be best for the position.

The voters will do the annointing.

Secondly, there’s a reason Regna has been essentially unemployed for over a decade.

Why hasn’t another office or municipality hired him in the last 12 years?

Do some more research and you’ll find that he’s essentially done the equivalent of less than nothing during that time.

If independent is just another word for jobless and unhireable then he is the most independent candidate who’s ever lived.

  7. Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is!

I have for some time grown tired of the political antics that been going on and vindictiveness from the head of an office that is elected to serve the interests of all the people in the county.

He managed singlehandedly to split the McHenry Republican party.

  8. Pack has been gone over a decade?

Wow, it seems like yesterday he was chasing married women (other than his wife) around Johnsburg.
