The following message has come from Crystal Lake High School District 155’s Crystal Lake Central High School Principal Steve Olson:

We are aware of the rumors circulating about a threat of violence at Central High School on Friday, December 11.

Administrators along with our school resource officer and the Crystal Lake Police Department have taken immediate action to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

It’s important for you to know that there is no validity to these rumors and the appropriate actions have been taken.

Safety is our top priority, and to ensure the safety of our students and staff we have requested a stronger police presence on Friday.
