This past week I finished Michael Connelly’s cold case novel, “The Drop.”
We in the Chicago area are about to be treated to a real life cold case emanating out of Barrington Hills.
Saturday’s Chicago Tribune puts it on its front page.
Dan Hinkel
Christy Gutowski and Rosemary Regina Sobo wrote the story, which was first published in the Barrington Courier-Review, then picked up by the Tribune, which bought the paper from the Chicago Sun-Times, which bought the paper from Pioneer Press. In any event, a 73-year of disbarred attorney named Donnie Rudd was just arrested in Sugar Land, Texas, for having murdered nineteen-year-old wife Noreen Kumeta Rudd in 1973.
You can read the Courier-Review story here.
Man this guy sounds like a version of Robert Durst.
