Rauner Pardons McHenry County Man

A press release from Governor Bruce Rauner:

Governor Rauner takes clemency action

SPRINGFIELD – Governor Bruce Rauner today granted seven and denied 247 clemency petitions. About 1,000 petitions remain from previous administrations.

The 254 clemency petitions Governor Rauner acted upon today are part of dockets dating back to October 2010. This is the sixth set of petitions the governor has reviewed since taking office.

Each person granted clemency has recently undergone a criminal background check through the Illinois State Police’s Law Enforcement Agencies Data System.

A granted clemency request for a pardon with expungement allows the petitioner to seek expungement of their conviction through the court system.

The man pardoned from McHenry County is

  • Cary Rasmussen – Case numbers 1986CF675 & 1986CF676 (Theft and criminal damage to property), Sentences: 1 year probation for each.  Action:  Pardon and Expungement

Rauner Pardons McHenry County Man — 8 Comments

  1. As a public servant and since we know where the President is vacationing Rauner should tell his constituents where he and his family are for the next two weeks.

  2. Blagojevich was convicted of a Federal crime, not a state crime.

That means Obama would have to pardon him, if he is to be pardoned.

  3. Why Karma, are you gonna stalk him?

    What difference does it make.

I can almost guarantee he’s not vacationing in Communist Cuba!!!

  4. No he promised he would be transparent.

We don’t know what deals he is making on this vacation.

Is he in Cuba with Emanuel or in Israel?

He could be in Cuba to make deals.

Where do you think your new hires are coming from?

  5. Republicans are the party who say they love America but Mitt Romney said he would retire in France where he did work for the Mormons when he was young and now the US is not good enough for Rauner to go on vacation in the states.

  6. Cal, pay no attention to the troll.

He is just jealous that he cannot be with his hero in Cuba.
