Shortly before Christmas McHenry County State’s Attorney candidate Patrick Kenneally reported receiving $42,500 in contributions.

Right before New Year’s Day, the State Board of Elections reveals the receipt of another $7,000:

  • $2,000 comes from Patrick Kenneally of Chicago, who is retired.
  • $5,000 comes from John M. Kenneally of Atlanta, listed as Regional Sales Manager for Monster, Inc.,

Republican primary opponent Dan Regna still shows only $83.20, which was his campaign balance since the spring of 2011.

He ran unsuccessfully in 2008 for State’s Attorney against incumbent Lou Bianchi.

The final 2015 quarterly reports from all campaign funds are due in mid-January and will be the last campaign finance information available to the public before the March 15th primary election, except for contributions of $1,000 or more.

The pitch was that contributions should be made in order to pump campaign finance totals in reports as of the end of the year.
